Pylos

Pylos, historically also known as Navarino, is a town and a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it has been part of the municipality Pylos-Nestoras, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It was the capital of the former Pylia Province.

Methoni

Methoni is a village and a former municipality in MesseniaPeloponneseGreece. The Castle of Methoni is a medieval fortification in the port of Methoni. The castle of Methoni occupies the whole area of the cape and the southwestern coast to the small islet that has also been fortified with an octagonal tower and is protected by the sea on its three sides. Its north part,  is covered by a heavily fortified acropolis. A deep moat separates the castle from the land and communication was achieved by a wooden bridge.
